Be a Volunteer

Volunteers are important members of our team. If you have a couple of hours to offer this is a great way to learn about Lakeview Retirement Centre while contributing to your community. Of course friends and family members of our Residents are always welcome to join our team.

We have lots of opportunities for volunteers and something is sure to be of interest to you.

Friendly Visiting - one to one visits with residents in their room or in a common area. This provides comfort, companionship and social stimulation

Dining Room Assistant - pour tea and coffee during meals and assist staff with cleanup

Church Services - help porter to services and assist through services. Visit with residents after the service

Outdoor walks - take residents for a walk and enjoy the fresh air.

Reading - give that little extra care to Residents by reading a book or letters and cards that they have received.

Shopping & appointments - enable Residents to go to vital appointments by providing this service

Birthday Parties & Special Events - pour some tea and help serve cake for the monthly Residents Birthday Party. Encourage Residents to paritipate in the musical events.
